Kids Parties
ages 8+
Parties are 2 hours in length. Plenty of time to get creative, eat cake and open presents. You can book additional time if needed at $80 an hour.
Feel free to bring snacks, cake, beverages, decor. Food clean-up must be done by the parents or guests.
Project 1: QUOTE - For this project we will talk about COLOUR and use the colour wheel for colour inspiration! On the background of the canvas we will play around with line making and shapes and on top add our favourite quote!
Project 2: MATISSE - This project is inspired by artist Matisse, We will be using floral images and landscapes to work from. You can choose to add your name and title your piece or keep it plain
Project 3: STILL LIFE - We will be drawing from life using watercolour paper, inks, watercolour paint and sharpie. We will go through the drawing process and the students will learn simple tricks to make drawing easier.
Project 4: SMILEY FACE - Students will paint a circle on their canvas and choose from a selection of images to paint their “eyes” on the canvas, they will then select one of the lips we have cut out of wood to paint and in the end secure on their canvas.
Class Size & Time Frame
The minimum size for this class is 6. All materials are provided. Your event time frame is 2 hours. If you would like additional time it is $80 an hour.
If you would like to request a different time frame than the current ones offered please send an email, we can usually accommodate your request!
Cancellation Policy
Our class size is small and we take the time to prep each project. we are unable to offer refunds on workshops. If for any reason you are unable to attend, you can send someone in your place or receive a store credit.
Cass Miller
INSTRUCTOR
CASSIDIE MILLER will be the instructor for your kids art party. She is a working artist, owner of Studio and is an educator. Prior to opening Studio Cass taught grade 7-12. She enjoys creating with kids and is happy to get creative with your child!
Food & Beverage: We welcome you to bring you your own foods and beverages to your event or you can also choose to purchase from one of our two food options that we can have ready on your arrival.
